About ClassConnect
ClassConnect was founded in early 2008 by Eric Simons, a student at Naperville Central High School. The inspiration behind the ClassConnect project was fueled by Simons' chemistry teacher, Linda Bennett. Bennett had expressed her frustration about the current state of eLearning technologies and was seeking a more robust application to connect with her students.
Using his knowledge of web 2.0 web engineering, Simons paired the fundamental concepts of eLearning with social networking features. The result was what he called "ClassConnect", an easy to use yet versatile eLearning platform. Since 2008, the ClassConnect platform has been the focal point of cutting edge eLearning technologies and continues to grow exponentially.
